So, what do effective fundraising writers do, exactly? We make compelling cases for institutional missions to convince donors to make gifts to the places that hire us.
While it's not necessary, it helps when writers believe in those missions. I've been fortunate to write for organizations that advocate noble causes like food security, interest-free loans, youth groups that foster positive values, and affordable Jewish and higher education.
